The 2007 Florida Legislature amended Florida Statutes, Section 1009.24, to establish a technology fee beginning with the fall term of the 2009-2010 academic year. The revenue from this fee shall be used to enhance instructional technology resources for students and faculty. If you wish to submit a proposal please refer to the guidelines, complete the appropriate proposal form, and submit by the deadline indicated below.
The Technology Fee was established in 2009-2010 to fund projects that “enhance instructional technology recourses for students and faculty”. Through a formalized governance structure, a committee of 16, of which students represent the majority, evaluations each proposal carefully and selects projects that greatly benefit students and faculty across all disciplines. For academic year 2018-2019 we received 94 technology fee proposals totaling $18.7ML in requests. The committee was able to fund 45 proposals totaling $7.2ML.
